SUMMARY:Final Fling Cheer Competition
DESCRIPTION:Our Final Fling Competition is Sat\, Nov 13th.  The location is Plainfield South High School. \nNo backpacks or phones. Please take these from your daughter before team check in. \nGirls should arrive in full uniform (uniform top and skirt\, warm up jacket\, competition bow\, white socks\, and cheer shoes.)\n– NO nail polish\n– NO jewelry\n**Make-up is optional**\n(Their cheer shoes should be clean and very white\, I recommend bleaching and washing them 2-3 days before they compete.) \nHair: Girls’ hair should be up in a high ponytail\, 4 fingers from their forehead. The pony tail should be straightened and secured with hair spray and bobby pins. Competition bows should sit flat on their head with tails forward. \nMasks: Girls will need to be wearing a mask upon entering the venue – we are allowed to take off our masks just prior to performing but must put them back on as soon as we exit the competition floor. Each girl must have a brown paper lunch bag with their name on it to put their masks in\, the coaches will collect those prior to performance and distribute them after. If any parent feels uncomfortable with their child performing without a mask – please tell your child to keep their mask on for the performance and let your Coach know. If you do opt to have your child perform in a mask\, please make sure it is a mask that goes all the way around their heads and not just behind the ears.

With over 1\,300 young athletes currently in our program\, we are proud of our history and support of the Park Ridge community\, including its local high schools\, since 1967.  Both Maine South and Maine East have a rich tradition in high school football\, and the Maine South Hawks football program is one of the finest high school programs in the country.\nIn that tradition\, Park Ridge Sports\, Inc. is proud to announce its 7th annual “Park Ridge Football Day” at Maine South High School’s Wilson Field on Friday\, September 10\, 2021. Attendees will watch the Maine South varsity football game\, and be recognized as a youth football player or cheerleader. \nPlayers ‘visibly’ wearing their game jersey or cheer uniform (age 5 to 14) will gain free admission to this football game if they are accompanied by a paying adult. DESCRIPTION:UNIFORMS\nPark Ridge Spirit Cheer provides each cheerleader with a cheer uniform top and skirt\, pom-poms\, game day hair bow\, and a sweatshirt. The uniform top and skirt must be returned at the end of the season. \nFinal uniform distribution for 2021 will be on Thurs\, Sept. 2 from 7:00-9:00pm at the O’Connor Room\, Prospect Park\, 733 N Prospect Ave in Park Ridge. A $50.00 uniform deposit (personal check) is required for every uniform. Your personal check will be returned to you when the uniform is turned back in at the end of the season. Returned uniforms must be freshly-laundered and in good condition. Please make personal checks payable to “Park Ridge Cheer” with your child’s first and last name written in the memo section. Siblings can be combined on one check.\nNo cash deposits will be accepted. If you do not return the uniform(s) on the designated uniform return day\, your deposit check will be forfeited. \nOther items typically needed for the season are black shortie-shorts\, white sneakers\, white socks\, white long sleeve turtleneck\, and black leggings for those cold weather days. These items are purchased by the participant.

SUMMARY:PRC Varsity Cheer Uniform Fitting
DESCRIPTION:Varsity reps will be on hand to measure cheerleaders for new uniforms. \nUNIFORMS\nAll Park Ridge Competitive Cheer athletes are required to purchase their own uniform and cheer shoes. The cost of\nour 2021 competition uniform is approximately $205\, which includes the bodysuit top and skirt. The uniform amount\nis due during the custom uniform fitting by Varsity\, which will be held on Thursday\, June 3\, 2021 from 5-8PM. Park\nRidge Competitive Cheer has an established uniform program whereupon we make a two year commitment to a\nparticular style of uniform. The current 2-year cycle is 2021/2022. Cheer shoe costs vary\, depending on the brand\nand where they are purchased. Cheer shoes must be white. \nDuring the fitting:\n• Wear form-fitting clothing (e.g. leotard\, one-piece swimsuit\, tank top\, shorts\, leggings).\n• Bring mask or face covering\, which must be worn during the fitting. [Note\, if the state\, local and school guidelines do not\nmandate face coverings\, Varsity Spirit still strongly encourages mask wearing of all attendees throughout the meeting.\nFurthermore\, it is Varsity Spirit’s policy that any attendee who tries on an ‘over the head garment’ such as a uniform shell\, tshirt\, pullover\, etc.\, and/or any attendee who needs to be measured by the Varsity Spirit Representative\, MUST wear a mask or\nface covering.
