Rules & Policies

Rule Books

Park Ridge Flag and Falcons Travel Tackle Football are played by the rules established by USA Football, NFL Flag Football,  National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), and the Illinois High School Association (IHSA).

In addition, our Board supports Senator Dick Durbin’s Protecting Student Athletes from Concussions Act, a 2019 bill that would require states to adopt “when in doubt, sit it out” policies. Our Directors have followed this protocol for almost a decade now, and insist on athletes’ safety, especially return to play and clearance by a qualified health care professional.

These Rule Books illustrate the modifications defined by the Park Ridge Football Board of Directors.

Other Forms & Policies

24 Hour Rule – Parents should not talk to our coaches about a game or practice until 24 hours after the event. We encourage you to set up a meeting or conversation, and discourage angry emails or texts. Upon some time and reflection, we believe we can improve direct, constructive feedback but after some of the hostility and emotions have been tempered. If that approach fails to address the issue after several attempts, then feel free to reach out to our Board leadership.
