📋 Rule Books
Park Ridge Flag Football and Falcons Travel Tackle Football are governed by locally modified rules based on USA Football, NFL Flag Football, the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), and the Illinois High School Association (IHSA).
In addition, the Park Ridge Football Board of Directors supports Senator Dick Durbin’s Protecting Student Athletes from Concussions Act, a 2019 bill advocating for “when in doubt, sit it out” policies nationwide. Our Directors have followed this protocol for nearly a decade and place the highest priority on athlete safety—particularly regarding concussion management, return-to-play decisions, and clearance by a qualified healthcare professional.
These rule books outline the specific modifications and guidelines established by the Park Ridge Football Board of Directors to ensure a safe, consistent, and developmentally appropriate playing environment.
📘📋 Other Forms & Policies
24 Hour Rule – Parents should not talk to our coaches about a game or practice until 24 hours after the event. We encourage you to set up a meeting or conversation, and discourage angry emails or texts. Upon some time and reflection, we believe we can improve direct, constructive feedback but after some of the hostility and emotions have been tempered. If that approach fails to address the issue after several attempts, then feel free to reach out to our Board leadership.
