Park Ridge Virtual Camp Itinerary
Presented by: Civil & Expansion Gaming
Goal: Teach athletes core football fundamentals through Madden NFL 22 in an extremely accessible environment (livestream)
Duration: 90 Minutes Approx
Order Of Events
(Details are subject to change to better fit Park Ridge’s needs after meeting with coaches)
Introduction
– Brief explanation of who Civil is
– Goal of this virtual event
Defensive Instruction 40 Minutes
– Break down of what each Coverage Shell means (Cover 2, Cover 3, Cover 4) and the responsibilities of each defensive player in this (including basic footwork of Defensive Backs)
– Break down of basic run fits/gap integrity out of formation(s) decided by the Park Ridge coaching staff (emphasis on the responsibilities of the front 7, including the contain or force defender)
Offensive Instruction 40 Minutes
– Breakdown of the goal of basic passing concepts (isolating a coverage player and forcing him to choose between 2 receiving threats)
– Basic breakdown and demonstration of Gap / Zone run blocking from offensive linemen (based on Coach preference)
– Emphasis on the following fundamentals of running backs
– Birdseye view of running lanes developing and being patient for blockers to set up
– The importance of selling the fake on a Play Action Pass
– Basic differences in Offensive Line blocking between Pass / Play Action / Run blocking (can include breakdown of footwork of pulling lineman)
