Park Ridge Falcons Travel Tackle Football offers a premier youth tackle football program for 3rd–8th graders in Park Ridge and surrounding Chicagoland communities. As proud members of the Bill George Youth Football League (BGYFL), we combine competitive play, elite coaching, and a focus on safety to develop well-rounded athletes.

Registration for the 2025 Park Ridge Falcons Travel Tackle Football season is now open!
Registration officially opens every year during Super Bowl weekend, and for the 2025 season, it will remain open until July 1, 2025.
✅ Secure your roster spot early – Space is limited, and teams fill up quickly.
🚫 Avoid late fees and waitlists by registering as soon as possible.
📅 Once rosters are full, additional players will be waitlisted.

🧒 Park Ridge Falcons Travel Tackle Football: Team Placement & Rostering
We offer teams across the following BGYFL-sanctioned age divisions:

| 8U | 3rd Grade | 8 or younger |
| 9U | 4th Grade | 9 or younger |
| 10U | 5th Grade | 10 or younger |
| 11U | 6th Grade | 11 or younger |
| 12U/JV | 7th Grade | 12 or younger |
| 14U/Varsity | 8th Grade | 14 or younger, not in high school |
Key Placement Details
- No cuts – every registered player is placed on a team
- Team placement is based on AGE not grade
- Players may play up a level (never down)
- Evaluations determine placement in Gold (Elite) or Silver (Competitive) divisions
- Team placement is determined by an evaluation process so Friend or Coach requests cannot be guaranteed
- Sibling placement requests honored when possible (same division/level)
📌 Important: Players who do not attend the mandatory player evaluations will typically be assigned to the Silver Team based on availability and roster needs.
📌 Note: Players cannot join another tackle football program during the Falcons season.
⚖️ Park Ridge Falcons Travel Tackle Football: Age & Weight Guidelines: Safety Comes First
BGYFL uses age and weight-based rules to ensure fair and safe competition.
“Striper” Designation:
- Players over the weight limit wear a helmet stripe and play only on the line
- Players under the striper weight can play any position
- Stripers remain designated for the full season
💡 No extreme weight-cutting is encouraged. Player safety and long-term health take priority.

🧢 Park Ridge Falcons Travel Tackle Football: Equipment & Uniforms: What’s Provided & What to Bring
Included with Registration:
- NOCSAE-certified helmet (e.g., Riddell SpeedFlex)
- Shoulder pads
- Practice and game jerseys/pants
- Game socks
Player-Supplied:
- Mouthguard (required)
- Cleats
- Integrated girdle
- Optional: compression shirt, cup, gloves
📅 2025 Equipment Pick-Up Dates & Times
📍Location: 733 North Prospect Avenue, Park Ridge, IL 60068. Garage in rear of parking lot.
- $300 deposit check held (returned uncashed upon equipment return)
- Birth certificate required for new players
- Player attendance is required to be properly measured and sized for equipment

📆 Park Ridge Falcons Travel Tackle Football: Practice & Evaluation Schedule
Our structured preseason gets players ready—physically and mentally.
2025 Key Dates:
- Practice begins: July 31 – August 1
- Evaluation week: July 31 – August 8
- Team assignments finalized: August 9
Practice Guidelines:
- 2 equipment-free practices required before contact
- Preseason: Up to 5 practices/week (max 2 hrs)
- School-year: Max 3 practices/week + optional film/walk-through

- Franklin/Northwest Park
- Lincoln Middle School
- Prospect Park
- Hinkley Park
- South Park

🏟 Park Ridge Falcons Travel Tackle Football: Game Schedule & Season Format
Regular Season:
- 8–9 games: August 23–October
- Games on: Saturdays, Sundays, occasional weeknights
- Labor Day Weekend: Games played—avoid scheduling travel
Postseason:
- Playoffs: Up to 3 games (for qualifying teams)
- Championship Weekend: Early–mid November
- 8U teams do not participate in playoffs
Game Venues:
- Home Field: Maine South High School
- Backup: Hinkley Park
- Travel: Most away games within 45 minutes of Park Ridge
Each rostered player should expect to play at least 10 plays per game, based on attendance and effort.
